After a regular phone call, Kata Tune plays the other person's chosen tone for you, and yours for them. Pick one from the library or make your own.
Version 1.0.2 · 8.8 MB
Browse tones by category, search by name and preview before you decide. New tones and categories are added all the time.
Your voice, your song, your sound. Add your own cut tone in two ways, trim it to the part you like and submit it.
Tones can be up to 10 seconds, and each one is reviewed before it goes live.
When a regular phone call ends, the app looks up the other person. If they use Kata Tune, you hear their tone, and they hear yours. If they do not, your own tone plays instead.
Works with normal cellular calls. Calls made through WhatsApp or other internet calling apps are not detected.
Kata Tune is installed from this website, not from the Play Store, so Android shows a few extra safety prompts. They are normal. Here is what to expect.
Tap Download APK. If your browser says this type of file can be harmful, choose Keep or Download anyway.
Tap Open in the download notification, or find the file in the Downloads folder of your Files app.
If Android says your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
If Google Play Protect shows a warning, tap More details, then Install anyway. This appears because the app is not listed on the Play Store.
Sign in, then allow the permissions the app asks for. It needs them to notice when a regular phone call ends and to play your tone.
Screens and wording differ a little between phone brands and Android versions. Updating later works the same way: download the newest APK and install it over the old one.
Download the APK, open it on your phone and allow installation from this source when Android asks.
